Recently I posted a survey online and received over 100 responses.  I was excited to review the data, but the results were actually slightly heartbreaking.

The data strongly suggested that more than 50% of my respondents lack serious self confidence.

If you don’t believe in yourself, you’re doing yourself a serious disservice.  You can’t even imagine what you might be holding yourself back from..

  • You’re holding yourself back from growth opportunities.
  • You’re holding yourself back from stimulating conversations.
  • You’re holding yourself back from expressing your thoughts and ideas.
  • You’re holding yourself back from meeting new people.

Ya’ll, these are all things that are absolutely necessary for you to really experience your life the way that God intended!

If you don’t believe in who you are, then you risk becoming a chameleon.  Have ya’ll ever heard of that phrase before? You conform to be whoever your current company wants you to be.  You don’t want to stand out, so you try to blend in.

Why?

Now, let’s get one thing straight – confidence is good.  When you’re confident, you hold yourself at higher standards.  Ya’ll, confidence isn’t about looking a certain way, it’s about feeling good about yourself.  Being confident is a result of believing in yourself and being proud of who you are.

We spend way too much effort worrying about how people perceive us & about their insignificant opinions.

Do what makes you happy, forget about everyone else, & be confident in yourself.
