I think that our millennial generation, in general, gets a bad rep. I don’t want to address the stereotypes, I just want to mention something that I really love about our generation..
We’re Health Conscious
Now, more than ever, people are consciously making healthier choices in their diet and beyond. I love this about our generation. I believe that unhealthy habits directly relate to an unhealthy mind. And on the contrary, those of us who make a conscious effort to make positive choices, live more peacefully. There is a plethora of research that supports this belief, and I encourage you to do your own research on generational health trends and your overall wellbeing.
Your health is not only defined by physical health. Physical health is very important, and resources even argue that your mental health is as important as your physical wellbeing. Not to mention, spiritual and emotional wellness…
How much do you know about essential oils?
I’ve been doing more research about oils and their benefits, but I still have a lot more to learn. To be honest, for a while, I had no interest in learning about them, and passed them off as a health fad. As of recently though, I’ve been very interested in improving my health, and I’ve been transitioning to an all-natural beauty/health regime. I’ve been taking my health into my own hands, and diving into more natural approaches to healing my body.
Olive’s Oil Boutique
I’d expressed to a friend of mine that I’d been having trouble sleeping due to my serious back pain. I’ve been trying to to deal with my back pain for a long time, and when she mentioned trying some essential oils I figured “why not?”.
Essential Oil Bracelets
I was so happy to receive my package of Olive’s Oil Boutique bracelets and oils within a few short days. First of all, Olivia is one of the most creative, DIY’esque ladies I know, so it was no surprise when my package arrived in adorable packaging..like something I’d bought straight from a boutique.
Upon opening my package, I pulled out these beautiful handmade bracelets that are totally my style. Additionally, she sent me a few sample oils to try to aid in the health concerns we discussed.
(DISCLAIMER: Olivia is not a doctor, but she’s knowledgeable about essential oils and their benefits. If you have a serious health concern, please consult a medical professional.)
Olivia sent me 3 oil samples and sent me an informational card to explain each of their benefits – how sweet!
- Serenity Oil – A calming oil that helps me relax. It’s not sweet, think more zen spa. I’ve put this into my oil diffuser and it makes our bedroom smell amazing.
- Citrus Bliss Oil– An uplifting citrus oil that I’ve been applying to the wooden beads on my bracelets. When I get a sniff of it throughout the day, it reenergizes me – love!
- Deep Blue– Olivia recommended this specific oil for my back pain. It’s smell is relaxing, similar to Eucalyptus. It feels cool on my skin when I apply it, so I’m looking forward to seeing how this helps my pain.
There is so much more to learn about oils, and I’m especially interested in their health benefits.
I love these bracelets, and I love the fact that I can apply the oils directly to the wooden beads. The oils soak into my wrists, and throughout the day I can smell the scents on my wrist.
I’ve been wearing these bracelets literally everyday, even if I don’t apply new oil, because I’m obsessed with layering them. They’re natural in color, so they pair with everything. Olivia even added a skull bead to my bracelet as a personal touch, and I love that.
I haven’t been using the oils long enough to comment on their aid in my health, but I look forward to learning more about their benefits.
